PREMIERE Lumiere Cinema 23 March 2026

Guests at the Lumiere Cinema Christchurch were entertained recently by the arrival in New Zealand of Cannes Film Festival officianado David Blake straight off the plane from London for a Film Premiere of Sam Miller’s documentary “Our Man in Cannes - the David Blake Story”.

The film which is a a rollicking yarn follows David Blake, in a behind the scenes expose of the Cannes Film Festival; it’s History & the many funny/interesting stories that David has witnessed in over 54 years of being at the market edge of the cinema industry.

Guests arrived by London Black Cab for a Five Kingdoms Bijou Cocktail and an amazing night for Cantabrians & London Establishment.
